Arthur is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Master of Education in Counselling, maintaining certification through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and registered with the new College of Psychotherapists. He has considerable experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. As part of Arthurís ongoing commitment to his professional development, he has undergone specialized training in life/career coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), critical incident debriefing, personality assessments such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Enneagram. In addition to his private clinical practice as a therapist, Arthur has designed and facilitated custom-tailored workshops for dozens of corporations on topics ranging from dealing with stress, overcoming conflict, communicating assertively, developing renewed optimism, coping with mental illness in the workplace, and achieving work-life balance.
Arthurís primary focus in his clinical practice includes individual, couple/family, conflict resolution, coping with stress, anxiety, depression, life changes and transitioning, loss and bereavement, crisis intervention, career coaching. Arthurís collaborative approach with his clients is instrumental in moving them along toward achieving their goals. His supportive and pleasantly engaging manner better allows for a healthy therapeutic relationship to take place and desirable outcomes reached.
He has demonstrated leadership and
volunteerism in his profession, by having been past
vice-president and treasurer for the Ottawa chapter of the
Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and
continues to serve on the Board of Directors. His personal
interests include golf, cycling, yoga, squash,
cross-country skiing, accompanied by a genuine
appreciation for arts and culture.

Arthur is also a member of the Capital Choice Counselling Group, a well established counselling company consisting of over 30 experienced, professional therapists:
The group consists of registered psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, pastoral counsellors, and occupational therapists, all of whom have advanced graduate training. We average 12 years of counselling work, including individual, couple and family therapy. We utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients arrive at solutions for personal, couple, family and workplace issues within a brief therapy framework. We can get the job done. We can also do workplace workshops and interventions.
Our practices are client-centered and sensitive to the cultural needs of the client. All our certified therapists are supervised by psychologists and therefore are able to give receipts appropriate for workplace insurance and insurance company.
